Fine insulated microneedles, set to a chosen depth, enter the skin and release radiofrequency energy only at their tips, deep in the dermis. The controlled heat tightens existing collagen and triggers new collagen and elastin, which gradually lifts scar bases, tightens pores and firms the skin. Because the needles are insulated, the surface is mostly spared, so healing is quicker than with resurfacing lasers. The depth and energy are adjusted for each area of the face, and a sterile, single-use tip is used for every session.
