Treatment consent and your rights

You decide what happens to your skin and body. Before any treatment, we make sure you understand it and agree to it.

What we explain first

  • What the treatment is and what it can realistically do.
  • Other options, including doing nothing.
  • Common risks and rarer ones.
  • How many sessions you may need, and the full cost.
  • Pre-care and post-care, and what to do if you're worried afterwards.

When we ask for written consent

We take written consent before injectables, lasers and energy treatments, peels, microneedling, PRP and similar procedures, IV drips and small procedures. For a course, the consent covers the course, and we check with you again if the plan changes.

What we need from you

  • Your medical history, medicines and supplements.
  • Allergies, and any past reactions to treatments.
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding or plans to conceive.
  • Recent isotretinoin, a recent tan, or a history of keloid scars or cold sores.

Who does your treatment

Dr. Poonam plans every treatment and performs the injectable and medical procedures. Trained therapists carry out facials, clean-ups and other sessions under her plan.

Your right to say no

You can ask questions, take time to decide, get a second opinion, or stop before or during a treatment. Saying no won't affect how we care for you.

Results and risks

Results vary from person to person, and no treatment can promise a particular result. Every medical treatment carries some risk. We'll tell you what to watch for, and how to reach us.

Under-18s

A parent or guardian must be present and sign the consent for anyone under 18. Some treatments aren't offered to under-18s.

Photographs

Clinical photographs help track progress and are taken with your permission. We use a photograph on our website or social media only with your separate written consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

If you're worried after a treatment
