How it works
Dr. Poonam examines each growth first. Harmless ones are numbed, then removed with the tool that suits them: a fine electrocautery tip, which seals tiny blood vessels as it works, for skin tags, warts and raised moles; or a plasma tip, which releases a tiny controlled spark just above the skin without touching it, for very small growths like DPNs. Anything that looks unusual is referred for further tests instead.

What to expect
- Tell us about any growths that have changed recently in size, shape or colour.
- Tell us if you take blood thinners or have a pacemaker.
- Come without makeup or lotion on the area.
- Each growth is checked, under a magnifying lamp if needed.
- Numbing cream or a little local anaesthetic.
- Removal with the fine tip, one growth at a time.
- A soothing ointment, and a small dressing if needed.
- Small dark crusts form over each spot; keep them dry for 24 hours.
- Don't pick or scratch the crusts. Let them fall off on their own, usually in 5 to 10 days.
- Use only the ointment we give you, and no makeup on the spots until they've healed.
- Sunscreen on healed spots for a few weeks so they fade evenly.
